Rise Nation have secured the last spot of ECS Season 5 North America after defeating Team One 2-1 in the Lower Bracket final of the Challenger Cup. Following the first two days of the North American ECS Challenger Cup, which saw Complexity and Rogue qualify for the league's next season, Rise Nation and TeamOne locked horns in the Lower Bracket final after defeating Ghost and Splyce, respectively, in the previous stage of the qualifier. It all started on Rise Nation's map pick, Cache, with the first half being a back-and-forth affair in which TeamOne managed to switch sides with an 8-7 lead as Terrorists. The Brazilians further added to their lead in the beginning of the second half, 12-8, and then lost only four more rounds before closing out the map, with Alencar "trk" Rossato leading the way with an impressive 1.79 rating. On Overpass, TeamOne's map pick, Rise Nation got off to a good start as CTs, winning the pistol round, the anti-ecos and the first gun round. However, the Brazilian squad responded with a great 10-round winning streak, losing only the last round of the half to grab a five-round half-time lead. Despite TeamOne increasing their lead to 12-5 after picking up the second pistol, Rise Nation would not back down, and, with Kaleb "moose" Jayne and Will "dazzLe" Loafman paving the way for their team, they managed to take the series to a third map with a narrow 16-14 victory. The deciding map, Mirage, followed the same pattern of Cache, but this time around with Rise Nation securing an 8-7 half-time lead. With moose yet again leading the way for the North Americans with a 1.58 rating, they lost just four rounds throughout the second half to wrap things up, 16-12, and book their place in ECS Season 5 North America.
